Moving Debt Management Company

The implications and things to do when moving debt management company

If you have decided to move from one debt management company to another, there are things you should be aware of and things you need to make sure you do.

1) Cancel your Authority to Act with the company you are with.

2) Advise creditors you are now dealing direct or using another company or service.

3) Stop all payments to your existing debt management company.

4) Set up new payments to creditors or your new chosen debt service

5) If you are using a new service remember to sign the relevant Authority to Act form and return it.

If you are moving company or wish to switch debt plan, ask yourself if you have given this company time to help you.  Most consumers think that once the debt service they have instructed takes over, all their problems will go away over night.  This is not the case, if correctly managed your finances take time to correct and moving company is like getting off one bus to get another that is going along the same route at the same speed!
